Perkumpulan Cinta Borneo Lestari consider about the land in the South of Putussibau. Even there are many mining activities, Perkumpulan CInta Borneo Lestari still encourages local people in developing ecotourism. One of the most popular destination in South Putussibau is Bukit Undau. Located in Indonesia, West Kalimantan Province, between two subdistricts : Bunut Hulu and Boyan Tanjung. Without rain, people needs 3 – 4 hours to reach the top of Bukit Undau.
This hill’s so unique, mostly on the top, there are big stone that’s called “Batu Kapal”. The apperance just like a big ship made from rock. Local people believe that formerly, there were a foreigner came with a lux ship and stuck on the top.
There are many springs and small clean rivers. Bucephalandara sp ( Buce grass) growth well on the edges. Also some red fruits like cherry but taste sour, could be found in here. The hill so fertile that local people can plant many kinds of fruits and vegetables. Durians is the famous fruits from the base of the hill. Beside many huge and tall trees, there are also many curvy rocks that stand boldly facing the sky. Better to standing tents for rest or to prepare for morning sunrises. A big cave can be a place for shading more than 30 adults. The top offers Putussibau views with fascinating colour.
